I was born in South Africa and immigrated to Australia in my 30’s. I have been drawing and painting from a young age and developed my skill painting landscapes using oil paints. Though, I am a qualified engineer, my creative heart has always led me back to exploring different creative outlets; photography, caricatures, digital illustrations and though oil painting and landscapes are my comfort, exploring mixed media and various compositions has been an exciting journey to date.

Paintings
Painting from a young age and under the guidance of South African artist, Ockert Vermeulen, I developed my colour palette and brush stroke techniques.
Leaning on the edge of fine art and impressionistic type landscapes, my avid interest in psychology has directed me later in life towards expressionism type work. Though, I can always find solace in my landscapes too.
Playing with mixed media and developing different techniques, can be viewed in my more recent work and ultimately expresses my feelings on various subjects.
Creative Photography
Inspired by the human form and the psychology of what photographs can portray, I started delving into photography. My passion lies in the creative portraiture space. I love form and shadows and enjoy the playful spontaneous results of light photography.
Caricatures & Illustrations
Bringing back nostalgic memories, as a young girl, I enjoyed creating caricature images from stencils. Stumbling upon this again as an adult, I now create digital caricatures for enjoyment.
As an extension of my character Blue, I also enjoy illustrating Blue in various holiday or social settings and themes. However, ever so often, inspiration comes from other sources whereby my illustrations spring to life.
Adventures of Blue – Books
This little whimsical character Blue was created one day while walking through Sydney on a chilly day and buying a Burberry coat for the first time. Originally inspired as BrrBerry, a blueberry wearing Burberry, Blues character soon evolved. Wanting to showcase the uniqueness of the world and opening the minds of young children to explore new things. Adventures of Blue is a series of books, with new ones being added with anticipation in the near future.
